I am fairly new to phtyo culture and have some questions I cannot figure out the answer to.

background
4-1g glass containers with spout
1 4 way air pump
new tubing and valves (bought set up used)
1 36" grown light set to 16/8
1 8oz bottle of starter of nano by mercer of montana
1 8oz bottle of starter of tetra by mercer of montana
2 part f2 by fritz

procedure
sanitized bottles and got new tubing
disinfected water bucket, made up 1.025 from 0 TDS RODI
poured saltwater in, added 4oz of nano to 2 jugs and 4oz of tetra to remaning jugs.
added fritz. per directions, its 1ml per gallon. so I did 2mls of part a, 2mls of part b, mixed then added 1ml of mixture to each jug.
let grow about 7-10 days.
Yesterday (2/10), I noticed the nano was very dense, could not even see rigid tubing in it. Was planning on harvesting, so I took 6 oz out of each nano jug and addded to DT and set some aside for my pico upstairs. My harvesting supplied got delayed so I did not get to harvest as intended.
Today (2/11), went to check on cultures and they have a very yellow tint with settling on the bottom, assuming they crashed.

question
did the crash happen because I only poured off 8oz or is it just a fluke that I happened to harvest a small amount and it crashed? Did it crash due to lack of nutrients?
My one tetra is starting to turn yellow so I placed some more f/2 in it. the other tetra looks great. (see pictures)
These jugs to have a spout, is it because I used the spout and I poured it?

Edit to add pictures

What type of lighting are you using? Typically you want like a grow light or something to help.

Average full spectrum led grown light. I do not know the exact one since I bought the set up used. But for a solid 7-10 days, it was getting a nice solid green color

Yellow might be because it ran out of fertilizer.
That is what I was thinking. I just was not sure because a lot of the research I did said add fertilizer whenever you add freshwater so like you would only add fertilizer, harvest add more water then add more fertilizer.

I was going with the approach of 7030 so like harvest 70% but leave 30% top off with freshwater add more fertilizer weight the appropriate amount of time to harvest again and repeat the cycle. So should I keep doing that but add more fertilizer the initial one or do you think I should add fertilizer halfway through the 10 day cycle?

My cultures will "yellow" when it's out of food (F/2). I feed every 7 days unless I see it getting clear. I write the F/2 date ON the container so I know for sure when I last fed.

All of my vessels are "spout" vessels and that's how I pull my specimen from them. I do "stir/shake" manually every few days to help prevent settle build-up in the bottom.

When I set up my cultures, I will do a 50/50 (culture to water) ratio. If I use 8oz of Phyto I'll use 8oz of salt water. Then as the culture grows more dense I'll add more SW to fill the vessel each day.

Where did you get those glass spout vessel? I like them.

Make sure you have very good bubbling in the container. Any phyto that settles can die and contaminate the culture. Fertilizer is 1-1.5 ml per liter of new water.

Also. I like growing in 2 liters because when I harvest I can rotate a new bottle and sanitize the old with bleach. I grow pods in bottles with spouts.

I bought whole set used so I am not quite sure where they came from.

I have seen very similar ones at Target, Walmart, etc. I would even check your local thrift stores/resale stores.

I like my Phyto vessels to be more tall & slender so that it's easier to keep everything suspended in the water column and less area for "Settling".

I'm using these with a spigot attached:
