Your choice to spend some money on real live rock from the ocean is going to be a great asset and I truly believe that.

Buying the 120 that had been running for half a decade, filled with old rock from many different oceans gave a huge buffer to my learning curve.

that’s why I went ahead and bout rocks lol. If nothing else I want that asset on my side.

don’t know if it is enough to keep a bta yet. But hey maybe you’re right.

Both tanks now share the same sump. Nem tank is hard to keep nutrients down and macro tank is hard to keep nutrients up. Duh, join them. 110 gallon tub will house skimmer (big one lol), heaters and all the other stuff. One of the 40 gallon troughs will be zoas and shrooms. Not quite that far yet, but both tanks are back up and running. Zoas and shrooms are in the 40b nem qt for the time being. No cipro, was running and figured holding tank for now lol.

Thanks @BeltedCoyote and @Lost in the Sauce

Funny thing, only had to go buy a single titanium hose clamp. Even though where it is, is out of the water, better safe than sorry.

Total cost 12.81 lol.

i will become handy enough to do what you guys do. I need too. I can’t afford not to lol

For now, an 8 bulb T5 on half and an old reef breeders photon v1 that has had most of the leds swapped out for a better spectrum on the other half. Depending on how well I can keep this thing cool, it may get halides on a portion of it.

I have so many lights laying around, just gonna go with whatever for the time being lol.
And to think I have 29 pages to go tonight. Guess I'll have to record Thursday Night Football.

(I usually do that anyway or else I fall asleep on the couch. But I have never fallen asleep reading a build thread.)

Plane has landed with an order. Pics will follow after I get everything situated and stuff cleaned up a little more. I know it is a fish barn, finished in 50 year old crap from when we remodeled, but it at least needs to be neat and clean lol.

Redid the rock work in the nem tank, added some new things (pics tomorrow) and cleaned the crap out of the sides of the nem tank. Need to run and get me some super fine grit sandpaper tomorrow to polish it up.

still a mess in there, but hoping to have all wrapped up tomorrow.
