I want to start a discussion on testing salt in tanks. We’ve got 2 Milwaukee testers & 2 Hanna testers, but they’re all reading different numbers, even after calibration. We also sent a Triton MS test, and it shows low salt, which got us into this. What do you think is the best tester for this?

I recently ran into problems with this. I was using a Hanna tester for a long time and then picked up a Milwaukee. The Hanna read 1.026, the Milwaukee read 1.031, my refractometer read 1.031. I'm going to get a hydrometer and do it as well.

My other option is to use a high-accuracy scale to make a known sample, and/or use calibration fluid, across all 3 test methods at once.
