May be calcium reactor time soon....

Had one for a while... a GEO.
It became a big P I T A

Was hoping for more of a set it and forget it (for at least a little while) solution, but seemed like i had to constantly monitor it. Something always got out of wack... the ph probe kept failing, the drip was inconsistent (getting clogged), just couldn't get it dialed in for long term use. When I did dial it in, something always failed shortly after. One night, the ph controller got stuck and empied the whole cylinder of C02
what was supposed to make reefing easier, had me always stressed that some piece of equipment was going to fail.
Maybe they have improved over the last decade or so?, but using an automatic doser definitely made my life more worry free.
Thought about getting a "DaStaCo" to replace the old GEO I had. Just never committed back to the reactor.

Can you elaborate on what gear? (Besides the geo)- what ph controller etc?

Saturday Morning Dog GIF by Sealed With A GIF

Anyone have any recommendations for a decent skimmer? Mines acting up and not skimming and loosing priming every other to every day. Not looking to go super extreme. But need something to handle a 60 gal tank and 20 gal sump
