Needs sandThe wrasse is being weird and hanging out on the surface.
Just ask @robanisterNeeds sand
Unless it has swim bladder problemsJust ask @robanister
Ok cool so we successfully raised 1 point with 2 tsp. Now we wait and see what those corals take in by 3pm tomorrowAlright vintage. Tested at 12:30a.m. 9 hours post 2 tsp dose alk was 8.0 it is now 9.1. Testing alk 3pm tomorrow to see if it’s a steady 1 point consumed.
That's what that container is on the right in the photo with the tang. It's 7x as big as the wrasse.Needs sand
Looks like the qt has a tray of sand but I don’t think it’s deep enough for the wrasse to hide inNeeds sand
This is the whole setup. 20g long, using a heater for the large build for now, the Sicce Scuba Contactless. Tidal 100g brand new today, bubbler right above the heater. Added Carib Sea Fiji Pink Alive Arag. I'll just dry and clean it post QT or toss it if I medicate. RO water for 34.5 tested on Hanna digital salinity, Microbacter7, a throw away rock that is super seeded, been in aquarium since day 1 over 3 years ago, it had some aiptasia so I'm ok sacrificing it to the trash if I copper, threw in some media into the HOB filter as well (just some Aquaforest seeded bacteria rocks from my 10g. I'll pick up an ammonia badge tomorrow, but with some seeded media I should be ok. I just ordered a Hanna Copper Checker, I'll observe for now. The tang is really skinny, that's the only thing making me nervous and why there are two clips in the picture, one is Julian Spring Red Seaweed and the other is Nori. I'll probably try to track down some ogo tomorrow if I can.Just ask @robanister
The wrasse is obviously not comfortable with your tray setup. It should be sleep by now. That trey method works for some wrasse once they’re comfortable with the tank. This is the whole setup. 20g long, using a heater for the large build for now, the Sicce Scuba Contactless. This is the sand.
Any other suggestions? I'm all ears. New to both these fish. The wrasse is obviously not comfortable with your tray setup. It should be sleep by now. That trey method works for some wrasse once they’re comfortable with the tank.
I have 3 leopards and they all slept in the sand the first night, i purchased them all at separate times
Oh and I'll head to home Depot tomorrow for some PVC for the tang to hide in. The rock that is in there is an intentional small cave of two rocks glued together. Just can't tell from the front shot. The wrasse is obviously not comfortable with your tray setup. It should be sleep by now. Judging by the way mine swim, they dont really like super strong flow. Flow is good but not crazy, there not super strong swimmers like other fish. Mine like to stay close to the rock work where the flow breaks, they only openly swim when i feed.Oh and I'll head to home Depot tomorrow for some PVC for the tang to hide in. I can add a pyrex container of sand, it should be enough for it though I would think. It's a small wrasse.
Any thoughts on if I should throw one of my sicce nanno powerheads on the opposite glass? There is a decent amount of movement from the tidal 110 and I have an air tube (not a stone, but a bubbler attachment from my eheim pumps), so the water should be oxygenated.
