I have to disagree with that statement. I work in the construction trades and see plenty of tools just walking around. That definitely don't make back what the company pays them LOL

If you use anything other than dewalt or Milwaukee you’re dead to me.Since we are on power tools. Which brand does everyone like?
Depends on the job. Got some DeWalt and Milwaukee power tools here.Since we are on power tools. Which brand does everyone like?

Ryobi is the distant 4thSince we are on power tools. Which brand does everyone like?
This is a tough one, I bought into the Ryobi ecosystem more years ago then I want to admit, back when they were blue. (Has it really been almost 30 years?!?) I have SOOO many nifty tools and gadgets. They have never failed, except a few batteries, and I have used them for purposes they might not have been intended for. Would cost a fortune to replace them all now.Since we are on power tools. I used to work at Lowes during my days before kids, and I love DeWalt tools. Especially when I know what and when certain tools or things are clearance or heavily discounted. Good timesIf you use anything other than dewalt or Milwaukee you’re dead to me.
Milwaukee for all my battery stuff. I have a couple Makita corded.Since we are on power tools. Which brand does everyone like?
My first set of homeowner tools were the blue Ryobi. Still have quite a few of them. Most had been replaced with the terrible green/yellow that they are now. Really was just buying a new tool to get a battery when the batteries died out. This is a tough one, I bought into the Ryobi ecosystem more years ago then I want to admit, back when they were blue. Milwaukee is nice, my Dad has a lot of them, yet he still borrows a few of my Ryobi tools from time to time. Milwaukee is expensive, he doesn't have all the gadgets. If money wasn't an object I would buy into their line of tools. Both 12v and 18v, some of those 12v tools are the perfect weight and size yet silly powerful.
Makita makes some nice saws and stuff, I really like the double battery circular saw. They have a pretty decent line up.
DeWalt avoid, they ain't what they used to be. I honestly think I have seen more of them busted, broken, returned than any of the others. They still have a diehard fan club from years ago when they were the champ. But they have fallen from grace in my opinion.
Yes but do they have batteryI used to work at Lowes during my days before kids, and I love DeWalt tools. Especially when I know what and when certain tools or things are clearance or heavily discounted. Good times
I don't think @Kasrift is going into construction and finishing homes. They are not as tough as Team Red or Blue.My first set of homeowner tools were the blue Ryobi. Still have quite a few of them. Picked up a Milwaukee tire inflator with the M18 batteries (because my Ryobi was trash). It is a nice piece of equipment. And now since I have to pack that with me in the trailer/truck tire emergency kit I thought it would be better to just get a Milwaukee impact. Was at HD today looking at those.
Might just start buying Milwaukee when the Ryobi go bad. Already have 2 batteries.
Ryobi is sufficient for us non-skilled guys who have to complete the occasional home project. Can't imagine any professional that uses tools for a living could get by with them.
Should I even ask where?$30 for 2"
Yes, they had batteries.Yes but do they have battery

But I agree with you, Milwaukee would be my first choice if I were to be asked which tools I wanted if I won the tool lottery.
Best bang for the buck, I would say Ryobi. But then your stuck in their ecosystem. Their sales, you get free tools, batteries , hard to beat building up the tool rack quickly with those. And if you ever needed pro level it's another buy.
Then some people have had really good luck with the Harbor freight line of tools. Cheap enough you could buy 2 as a backup. Personally I would never ever go that route though.
You know whereShould I even ask where?
