Has your flame from NYAquatics been reef safe?

I was originally going to get a flame angel from biota, seemed the most reef safe if they had been raised on pellets and stuff.

The one I grabbed just now is so tiny and eating pellets, I'm hoping it is more reef safe.

Depends on goals in my opinion. I got one on sale during Black Friday and will run it during the ugly stage of the tank.

I know it can help with disease management (not eradication, hence quarantine), but I wouldn't rely on it for that.

As for water clarity, Ozone might be better but you need an ozone safe skimmer.

Dose the heck out of that tank with phyto. From what I've read, flame scallops are really hard to keep alive.

I was hoping to get rid of some algae so I don’t have to scrape tank as often

Petco is getting them from Biota. Every Biota YT I have seen has been near see through.

Has anyone seen what they look like when they get bigger? Does the yellow become more vibrant?

Had mine over a year, yeah they fully color up and grow fast..Come as babies
