Ummm who or what are we preserving for later
Was trying to fight Uronema. You can follow the story on Humblefish forum.

As an FYI to @Thuan , @stoney7713 and others, this was a NYAquatics fish. I don't fault them, uronema is almost impossible to beat. I've had the fish in QT since Jan 29th. The big problem with uronema is that it can take awhile to show.

It started to show a red spot in QT, so I added metroplex to the tank as well as the fish being in therapeutic levels of copper. The problem is metro mostly stops transmission, not reversing the disease from what I've read. I also added it to the food, but intercellular uronema is almost always fatal.

I ordered Ruby Rally Pro since people were having anecdotal evidence that it works. I followed a 5 day 3ml per gallon protocol and daily baths, but it seemed to get worse. I ordered formalin and isolated this fish from the rest in a 5g bucket with copper, heater and an air stone.

Anyways, just dipped in formalin and the fish passed. I'm bummed, but now I have more tools and methods to validate. I was trying not to go the formalin route, but now I kind of wonder if I should have ordered it first.

Just realized.. you aren't supposed to use formalin on a fish with red sores per humblefish. I guess since you have it at hand maybe use it on the next one immediately perhaps? That's why I don't have chromis.

Yeah, I realized that too. Forgot and remembered after I started. I pulled the fish after 9 minutes. Either way it wasn't doing good.

I'm running things through my head on what I could have done differently. I'm going to order another one. I still have one since I ordered them as a pair. I've read and watched as much as I can. I think I'm going to follow Elliot's protocol and do 14 days of formalin dips from the start. They say that once it shows that it is fatal.

Also spot on @Digitalfirex . Reefing is a journey of learning. I'm disappointed, but I really do want to be a pro at quarantine processes to, so live and learn.

I'm ordering Aquabiomics eDna tests before anything goes into the big tank. I'm hoping these first two batches of fish don't show anything. I'm one week away from my first full QT protocol being finished. I'm on my third week of Prazi for the hybrid powder blue, leopard wrasse, and flame angel.

And from joker corals I got this unique torch, it’s called Manilla torch. In person it’s borderline orange. It’s color is different than 24k, knicks, and other similar torches. The green tips almost glow also. Was sold as 2 head. It’s more like 6+ when you factor for some in the middle of splitting.
