I’m thinking of plumbing in a 10g refugium/seahorse display under my 3 year established acro dominant 40g breeder/ 20g sump..
my salinity is 1.026, 7 dkh, 300 cal, 1300 mag. Temp 89.0. Would a seahorse be healthy in my tank with given parameters?
Planned to gravity overflow fed sump from 40g. Into first chamber with protein skimmer, next chamber chaeto now but may change it open because of macro algae growth n seahorse tank. 3rd chamber large pump for display and a second smaller pump to pump into new seahorse ten gallon, with gravity overflow returning to sump pumped into display, keeping only flow from small pump, to keep it low for the seahorse..
What do y’all think? Seahorse tank would have a bit of rock, low flow type corals and other friendly cool coinhabitants. Also cool macroalgaes, non photogenic plants, pieces like gorge, maybe Xenia not sure yet what do think of my first plans? Something I should know? Something I shouldn’t do?
