What a rollercoaster of a day! The fish room shuffle kicked off smoothly, with the freshwater tanks settling into my office like pros. But then, the saltwater tanks entered the scene, and things took an unexpected turn. All was well until I reached the crown jewel: the main saltwater display tank.

A slight misstep led to a disastrous crack, reminding me of a past oversight in tank construction. Thank goodness for Petco's proximity; a quick upgrade was in order, turning an inconvenience into an opportunity.

After a dash to Lowe's for supplies, it was all hands on deck to salvage the situation. As any seasoned hobbyist knows, plans can unravel in an instant, demanding swift improvisation and problem-solving skills.

Despite the setbacks, the show must go on! Stay tuned for snapshots of the revamped setup once the dust settles tonight.

Welp update … I should have paid better attention new tank was tempered even though it said it wasn’t. Battle wounds … new scars and lots of class to clean up and an ever so happy wife.

Stores are closed, fish and reef into an emergency tank I will not be a hero tonight!

Well new main tank has been ordered. This was a stressful 24 hours!

Mocha Storm Clowns in good shape … weathered the storm well.

Copperband butterfly eating from hand again.

Two of my newest frags looking a little rough.

Rest of the stock is doing well.

New tank is a 500 gallon display tank with a bowed front and will span 72” x 52” x 30” estimated ship date of November 2024. Wife broke down and finally let me pull the trigger, this will be my 2nd largest tank on the property.

For now the focus will continue to grow out the breeding room, and stabilize the QT tank rack.
