Hi, guys!
Still teenagers, polyps are not large. Stratosphere, right?

How long did it take you to grow the chirbs to such a colony?
Tell me, please, what do you have for nitrogen and phosphorus, what kind of light and preset?
Thx!
These are just at a year of growth from a single Polyp. Phosphates are around 0.7 currently but were sitting at 0.2 consistently for a long time, nitrates have been as high as 75+ on my Hanna tester and are currently at around 5 and I'm dosing Ammonium Chloride to keep them from bottoming out - typically I shoot for around 35-50.

Lights are 2 Noopsyche K7 V3 140 watt running 10 hours plus 1 hour ramp before and after running 100% blue and purple channels at peak, 10% white, 45% green, and 25% red. Peak is around 4 hours daily with a gradual ramp up and down.

It's the only Zoa in my tank. Usually they're around $100 pp these days but you can find them as low as $50 and as high as $800 depending on strain and seller I believe.

I'm sure that the $800 is well worth it, right? It comes with a free Ecotech Radion G6 Blue to bring out even more color? Yikes -- that's crazy. I'm waiting for it to drop a few zeros before I start buying...maybe wait another decade?

Mine comes in large and small polyps. I've noticed that the lower the par/light, the larger the polyp. Slow grower though.
Yes, because they contain a black pigment that absorbs light without reflecting it, which is why they feel great in shaded areas.
