Styrofoam looking thing floating in aquarium

can someone help tell what this is? It looks like styrofoam but there is nothing styrofoam in or around my aquarium. Tank is 8 months old. Nothing new added. It just appeared and floating in current

Almost looks like a clump of bubble algae from the pic you provided. Maybe remove it and post a close up pic out of water and away from reef lights.
