We have water flowing through the new Live Rock holding system, now to fill it up with ocean farmed rock! WoooHOO!

As you know three hurricanes impacted our homes, the warehouse and the farm. This month we begin shipping orders delayed by weather. If all goes well, we will be back on track end of November, just in time for a Black Friday Sale.

Great news! All of the live rock, macros, critters, etc in my refugium died from losing power for a week from Milton, and its caused a massive algae bloom in my display tank. Can't wait to get some premium rock ordered to replenish.

Ladies, I'm planning a new tank, a 150 gallon that's on order. I want to use your rock and sand, and now I'd like to order during your Black Friday sale. I see you're not shipping those orders until next year, which is great for me; I'll need at least that long to get this tank up and running.

My question is, if I purchased somewhere around 100 pounds of sand, 50 pounds of base rock, and 50 pounds of premium rock, could we set it up so the sand and base rock would ship first, and then arrange to ship the premium rock a month or two thereafter? I'd just like to purchase it all during your sale.

A big THANK YOU to current, past and future customers for supporting us through rough seas. We’ve been very busy rebuilding, harvesting, and preparing for upcoming shipments.

Post hurricane update: Water clarity continues to be extremely low, combined with navigating a farm in disarray creates very long and slow harvests. Sand harvesting is extremely laborious; J is sifting each scoop on the ocean floor to remove silt. Hurricane force waves have removed all mature macroalgae, covered much inventory with sand and scattered neatly stacked rock beds.

On a positive note, rock looks good (it will regrow macros) and gorgonian fragments have been deposited everywhere. Corals, tunicates, and sponges are happy! Through the haze, we’ve spotted some old friends; the resident grumpy goliath grouper, giant southern stingray, huge horse conchs and giant hermit crabs.
