Can A Kessil H80 Function as a Lighting Source for Reef Tanks?
I currently have a tank whose depth is 16 inches. I measure the spread of a Kessil H80 to have a spread of 21 inches with the H80 mounted 3 inches above the water line. Presently, the H80 is installed as supplemental lighting. But I love the look and the light penetration visible to the naked...

Not really. It doesnt have the correct spectrum. Sure you could put it over the tank and maybe throw a couple softies in there and have them survive but they wont thrive.Any ideas on whether or not this light I used for my old refugium can be used as a main tank light? Let me know!

What else could I use? I also have a Loop current light and a larger viparspectra used previously for my 60 gal.
