I recommend these as the most accurate (in my experience)

Hanna:
- Alkalinity
-PO4
-NO3

Salifert:
-Calcium
-Magnesium
I've had good luck with Redsea and Mag in the past. I may try the salifert calcium to see what the difference is with the hanna. I know it's not that high, but I believe it to be in a good spot with the rest of my numbers. That doesn't surprise me; I have nothing to consume at a high level. I will finish the fall semester after this week so I will get my auto water change going after that. That will help keep it going for a while.

I picked up a couple of candy canes and another shroom from a local reefer. They mushroom in his tank. This came from 6-7" around, and it is pretty stunning. Nothing is opened up in these pics; they were put in the tank about 20 minutes before the picture was taken.

Also, I went in with fine-grained sand, knowing the potential of blowing around. I liked the look of the fine grain and decided I would deal with the results later. I have a few low spots, so I filled them in with a heavy grain. Well see how it works, I don't mind the look at all.

Also, it's starting to get a little brown on the rocks, I'm not bothered by it; it's part of it. Hoping it's short lived.

The ugly brown stage is here, I was expecting it, but also held out hope it would stay away. I haven't done any water changes since adding fish. I will do one this weekend and set up the auto water change. Just need to get through finals this week and I can spend some time on the tank. But hey, they fish were out to say hi.

Not much as changed, still waiting on my aquasd order, I picked today for a ship date, so hopefully they come tomorrow. I did print a frag plug holder. I'm not sure where to pull my toadstool yet, so I printed this for him. I figure I can move around this way until I find the right spot. Once he gets bigger I'll find a small rock to put him on.

Few updates. The aqua SD order came in, and everything looked good. They even sent a free frag, I have no idea what it is, some kind of acro, I'm guessing. The GSP hasn't opened up yet, and the Zoa aren't happy. Everything else seems to be loving life at the moment. Also, I made a random trip to the new LFS and got a sail fin blenny. That one was always in the plan, my wife loves them. However, I hadn't planned on a blue spotted jaw fish, but they had 5 of them and they were a ton of fun to watch, so we now have one. Also, dropped another pic of the clowns, they like to be front and center.

How do you like the DMP-10? I’m setting up a 24” cube for sps in a few months and am trying to decide on what size DMP. If you had to do it again, would you pick a bigger model?

No the DMP-10 is fine. I’m running both at 50% and it’s more than enough on the cube. I think if I went bigger I’d just have to turn it down more.

The new fish are doing great. Blenny is grazing the rocks, and the blue jaw has found his home. I really like the blue jaw, and I'm excited he chose a rock up front so I can see him. However, me and him are going to fight. He has already covered a mushroom in sand, and you can see my trachy is on the edge of tipping over. This will be an adventure with him.

Got my co2 scrubber and my fish of hex piece to recirculate. Going to take a little redneck engineering to get it hooked up to the skimmer but nothing a little glue won’t fix.

Lets go! It's nice to see another CO2 scrubber out there lol. I will suggest being very careful with the 3D printed piece though.
