While I will never purchase coral from them ever again, SDAqua has stripeys in stock.
That's where I ended up getting mine.

Also, I made the decision recently to never coral from them again as well. Something felt very off with my last interaction. I had a web order plus some eBay wins and they sold one of my web order corals to someone else before shipping out to me and were really rude about it on the phone like I'm the one who screwed up. Then when a week went by without refund on that one and I reached out I got a snarky response. I did eventually get my refund but yikes...

Good morning, Heathens and happy Monday!

Updates and photos (hopefully) coming later today, but here's a photo of Dozer the Sump Snail in the meantime.

All my zebra turbos have slowly died off. I assume because they don’t get enough food. If only they’d eat my hair/turf

This guy just turned 4 in January, and is the last of the Mohicans. He's been banished because he has lived up to his namesake one too many times by plowing through frags, which get knocked to the sanbed never to be seen again.

Remember the random flow nozzles that I was waiting on? The UV reactive orange ones? They finally arrived, and they are most definitely NOT what I ordered. Refund has already been received.

I reached out to the Etsy seller that made the custom flow guards for the DMP20s and asked if he could print these for me in the same orange as their exit profiles. He printed them last night.

Huge shout out to Cleven at Tubulent Flow Designs.

He is also sending me two of the same flow guards for the MP60s so that everything matches and my eye stops twitching.

How high do those gloves go? I really prefer to wear gloves when monkeying with the tank, but my issue is that all of the elbow/shoulder height ones tend to be thick and I lose a lot of dexterity.
I have the same issue with these:

The nitriles reach my wrist and Prevent any direct contact between my hands and whatever it is I am touching. That is sufficient for me until my next hospital stay.

Safety 3rd.

These are functionally the same as what I have.

My main concern is really open wounds on my hand (between boxing, woodworking, clumsiness, and frequent washing in the winter months causing dryness/cracking) and anything in the water column getting in there.. But sometimes I just have to put on a pair of wrist high nitrile gloves and get grabbin'

That is EXACTLY how I got vibrio. If I have so much as even a scratch on my hands, they do not go in the tank, gloves or not.

My IceCap Gyre 2k came with the orange fins preinstalled so I just left them. My Maxspect 330s don't have orange so I'm considering swapping the IceCap to the black fins to match so your eyes stop twitching...?

Yikes, yeah that's terrifying. Unfortunately I have a turbo snail that's an absolute bulldozer and plenty of frags not glued down quite yet... Hands in the tank are part of my reality.

I also set these up on the exterior of the tank using 3M double-sided tape. Initially, they did not fit the dry sides due to the spacers, so I cut off the backs for a field expedient fix.

I still need to clean up and adjust the cabling. I'll get to that soonish.

Okay, Heathens- I have a bunch of things to knock off the "honey do list", lest The Dainty Dictator give me a stern talking to.

Dropping off the net for a bit, so expect delays if you need me. @Reefering1 has the helm, so be sure to show him some "love".

Cleven is great! Sent me my MP40 guard, and it's perfect. Easy for the snails to clean. A few extras in my shipment, too!
