We are tied. I don't care if I win, only that I beat you.I'm seeing some suspicious early voting patterns
I'm not winning
I see we voted for each other though. We are tied. I don't care if I win, only that I beat you.
Muhuhahahahahaha
Nicely mangineered, good sir.I figured you all would get a kick out of the safety hazard I created in my house today…
Not pictured is the 75 feet of garden hose going from: my laundry room, through the basement, up the stairs, along the kick plate of the kitchen cabinets, and precariously balanced on a bar stool
It’s like a dang Rube Goldberg machine in here right now. All because I was too lazy to drive to Home Depot to buy a splitter to hook up to my kitchen sink.

The requisite fifteen scoffs not being met means that I must rescind my compliment.I’ll have you know my wife only scoffed 13 times!

I would use the prime and err on the side of caution. Also let me know if you all think I’m overdoing this…
I leak tested with tap water, I couldn’t find a chemical treatment list for my city whether they use chloramine or not. I wasn’t able to get 100% of the water out of the tank (the weir is a little tight, couldn’t fit my hand in to sop it up with a towel, nor my shop vac), and the main overflow plumbing/heater compartment also couldn’t be totally emptied.
With this in mind, I was thinking of putting some Prime in when I fully fill up the tank.
There’s less than probably 2 cups of tap water remaining at the absolute most, in a 150gal system.
Is the Prime even necessary? I’ve never used the product, but all of my research indicates that it’s totally reef safe, I’m not worried about it lowering oxygen in the tank as there won’t be anything living in it for a few days after it’s been filled.
I would use the prime and err on the side of caution.

I agree with this. Won't hurt, might help
Chloramines? More like BORAmines!Prime is dechlor? Dechlor is only necessary when chloramines are used. If you don't know if chloramines are used (or created mind you - chloramines can be naturally created during chlorination when chlorine combines with ammonia in the source water) it never hurts to dechlor as a safety precaution. Such a small amount probably won't do anything but it still doesn't hurt to dechlor.
