The question was answered. That trope is not about Mercedes drivers but rather BMWs, which I am not. It has turn signals, and I use them. Now, my Asian wife on the other hand is an entirely different story.
I don't understand. Why would your asian wife be a different story? Please expound in great detail.

I'm pretty sure the top five in order of ******ry is:

BMW + Porsche drivers
People who drive pick ups but don't need one
American Muscle cars drivers
Italian sports cars drivers
Mercedes drivers

I don't mind muscle car drivers. But I'd put BMW and Porsche drivers in separate categories with BMW #1 by a long shot. When I'm driving and see a BMW putting on their blinkers, I want to hop out and hug them. As one does. Nothing wrong with hugging strangers. And that doesn't at all reflect on my shrinking social circles...

So, basically, anyone who actually likes their car vs the people who just have one to get around?

Fwiw, I use my turn signals and drove like this loooong before I got my bmw. You don't get something with a v8 twin turbo and not push the pedal
Would you also like a hug?

:face-with-rolling-eyes:

My old rig. In my defense I don't actually remember if it had turn signals. All maintenance/mods myself, including 4.10s. Blue wheels are track wheels ;)

Nope! Pre-AK car, sold to move here. Le sigh.

Yep, 2002 E46 M3. Loved that car.

Bilstein PSS9 coilovers ;)
I've taken to calling my new ride "BB", which stands for "Budget Benz". It has a mighty 4 cylinders, and I drive it in Eco Mode.

Not gonna lie, though- I do miss Deebo;

Hmmmm.

I driven mainly Porsches for the last 30 years, older ones but Porsches. They're about the only car I've driven that I can drive all day and not end up with neck or back pain so I can still get some work done when I arrive. I also worked in IT for a MB dealer overseas and for a Ferrari broker in CA. Even worked for a German computer company that always supplied a Beemer when I visited hq. I'd reorder that list as:

People who drive overspec'd pickups but don't need one
Ferrari/Lamborghini drivers
BMW drivers
Newish American muscle car drivers
Other Italian marque drivers
BEV/Hybrid drivers
Porsche drivers
MB drivers

I can agree with this!

I did forget Audi drivers who are somewhere between BMW and Mercedes

Japanese cars! For those who enjoy fun cars that work and will continue to work.

English cars! For those who enjoy fun cars that don't work and will stop working soon.

Saturn drivers. Bless them. We should applaud them for being able to drive at all.

Well, I suppose I'm at the top of that list, given my old truck.
