Got two more emerald crabs, 5 nassarius snails, and a tiger conch. May all the algae die!!!

I hate to be the one to tell you but Nassarius and Conches don't actually eat algae... They'll take care of your leftover junk food and such which should help with nutrients though.

I know that :face-with-tears-of-joy: Thought they will help reduce sand algae by just disturbing the sand (and do conches eat sand algae’s like diatoms?). I was really talking about the crabs as my real battle is with that turf algae. May try chitons but I’d have to order it which jacks up the price so I’ll see if the crabs can get ahead of it.

conches (at least tiger/strawberry conches) LOVE diatoms. Absolutely love them. They also eat film algae. I've also watched mine devour GHA on zoa frags. I put zoa frags that get overrun with algae between their polyps on the sand bed and let my conch have at it. @tbrown maybe mine is confused?

Hahaha
I have seen them around occasionally. That is a good idea! Thanks!
I've had 2 and they seem to do fine until they don't. Mine just seemed to give up on life. Literally, my second one would sit up on its rear and rock back and forth. I don't know why it was so depressed.

Conches are vacuum cleaners with human eyes on stilts.

Interesting. I've never seen them go after anything that's "fuzzy". Mine eat film algae and cyano. They'd probably eat diatoms (keep the sand stirred if nothing else to help with that too). I've got a Tiger and a Fighter. Nassarius I've seen on the rocks and glass but I don't know that I've ever seen them eat anything except food particles and fish poop...

Same with nassarius. Pretty sure they are anti-herbivores. Re: conches, only one of my conches is a try hard when it comes to algae. Both love diatoms though. And film algae on the glass.
