That's the turf algae, right? I don't know if H2O2 can fully kill that stuff. I have two snails with turf on them. I've taken them out, tirned the. Upside down and let them sit for minutes in H2O2 directly from the bottle. Still grows back

It definitely does some damage at least and I’m just trying to stay ahead of it. Possibly the scrub down I did after will do more then the peroxide.

Who is awarded the award is definitely a bit odd. I mean most of my “followers” have superior tanks to me and have achieved success I never have. I think I won mine because of screaming my wrasse knowledge everywhere. I think it’s not people who give great general advice and it obviously isn’t people who contribute most to the community who win it. Rather it’s subject matter “experts”.

Though really I think helping hundreds if not thousands of people with their first tank stocking is what should have gotten me it if anything but I don’t think anyone noticed lol.

Ironically I won the award when I was this close to giving up on the hobby and had to try and show enthusiasm when awarded but I was just so phenomenally depressed.

Also the new power head is in. Also in the photo look at how the montipora is already showing a bunch of new growth spikes. Remember how it was getting really bad RTN not long ago?

I guess the worry is it could grow too much. How aggressive is montipora?

Very. Keep it trimmed if it starts to encroach on other corals' territory. Or you'll end up with this:

And this one that @TangerineSpeedo gave me. Plopped it on the sand bed and it's taking over the tank:

But I definitely recommend getting a Monti Setosa. I put this one on the sand bed and it has created a cool cave structure that the fish love going in and out of. It also works as the front porch for the firefish's cave.

This is the only one of the new acros that was low enough to get a photo and as you can see its still too close to focus properly. PC rainbow is one of two that is coloring up

Mine get beat up by almost everything but grow fast enough to smother some corals.
