Hi all. First time posted, long time lurker. Have been keeping salt water aquariums for years. Recently upgraded my tank size so have been adding new additions. Bought a Toadstool about 6 weeks ago. It was a normal tan colour phase. Due to some of the other corals we have, we regularly dose the tank with different trace minerals for colour and health. I have noticed this toadstool is turning green on the stems? I couldn't find anything online about this (only the other way round with green corals browning out!). It is not algae to the best of my knowledge as its the tentacles only. The stems and top are completely clear of any algae. It's a fluoro green on the tentacles of the polyps. The actual polyps have remained white (so not like my other actually fully green toadstool). I have included a couple photos in this post to show what I mean. It's easier to see in photos when it's just opening up in the morning before it's covered in waving white polyps which is why ive chosen photos where its not fully open yet. It appears very healthy in general in its day to day life, is always fully open throughout the day and every other coral is actively growing and healthy in the tank also. I am just curious about this colour change! Has this happened to anyone else? Was it a browned out coral getting it's colour back or is it a temporary change and it is and will always be a normal tan toadstool. If this is a bad news warning sign, i want to know how to help. The last photo is how it used to look before the colour change.
