Setting up my ATO (Tunze nano 3152) Trying to find the best positioning to still be able to fit the float switch and heater in chamber 3. The tube holder seems a little bulky.

Wondering if I should just order one of these from amazon

This won't help you anymore but i used a "DD H2Ocean Compact Auto Top-Up", it's very very small & has a pump powerfull enough to pump it from the floor to the top of the tank.

Finished my aquascape yesterday and got the tank wet. Still clearing up this morning. I went with mostly flat pieces as I have always been a fan of that look. Lots of room for future corals.

Let the cycle begin!

Hiw did you like the intank products? The idea of their products is awesome but the baskets don't fit my tank, which it was designed fir and the surface skimmer was so easily moved by snails etc that my water levels were always fluctuating and throwing off my ATO.

Id personally get the heater our of chamber 3 - Thats the return chamber and with an up and over rear chamber if for one reason or another your top up fails its chamber 3 that will run dry first. Most heaters dont fair well when the water is gone. Chamber 2, the larger one is where id place, personally.

Loving that scape!

Well 9 days into Dr. Tims fishless cycle I think It's complete! Ammonia levels have now dropped to .15 and are still on the decline. I am still not planning on adding any inhabitants for weeks to come. Wondering If I should add some pods to try and get ahead of the diatoms and other algae to follow.

I have not setup a light yet and Diatoms are now begging to show on the sand & rock.

Yay congrats!! Will you still need to dose ammonia in the meantime to keep those bacteria alive?

There’s no problem with putting in a fish at this point. No light needed. Obviously there isn’t a need to add a fish but if you have people in the house begging you to add a fish you’re fine doing it at this point.

Well yesterday we added our first inhabitant's. A pair of clown fish per the kids request. Still have not picked up our light yet (AI Prime) but with the tanks position it gets ample sunlight from all the windows. Had a mini spike in diatoms about a week ago over the sand and some rock. Let it be and it went away over about 4-6 days. Rocks are showing signs of browning but this was expected to be the case over the first 6 months to a year as everything gets settled.

Looks great, it’s a great time to get your pod population going as part of your cuc.

I was thinking about this exact thing.

Thinking of ordering these:

I have the same tank, really nice aquascape. How do you like the filtration cover?
