Ups was supposed to deliver next day by noon, they missed that entire day and delivered the day after at 7:45 pm. After 48 hours in transit the heat packs were exhausted and the cold trucks / warehouse caused the delivery water to drop to 56 degrees. Almost Everything was lost. The only item that survived was the scolymia

I used to keep sps reefs, lost a whole mixed reef due to a hurricane, the acros were the first to go. I was devastated and when I redid the tank I swore off sps. For about 8 years.

Few months ago my lps tank was getting pretty packed but had a lot of open space in the upper 1/2 and I was wondering how to fill it. Then decided. Magnet branch shelves and let’s get some acros again!

The plate is crazy. It was gifted to me from another reefer, as a pinkie nail size nub. I put that on a plug, and on a rack and grew this beauty!
Sometimes the tentacles are very long

Sometimes it decides to poof up and inflate like a basketball!

And I have a baby!

The gonis are insane. I can’t wait for them to grow out!

Everything from this order except the small scolymia, perished in transit. Ups next day by 12 ended up being delivered after 7pm the day after. Heat packs (2) were depleted and water was 56 degrees
Everything is being replaced if possible or refunded if no equal available

This one. I had an order with a vendor and wanted to add this on. Asked them how much, they gave me a price, I told them I’ll take it. it was on eBay and I made the offer with the price they told me, they never accepted the offer and waited for it to expire then they sold it to someone else

Hi Smitten! Hope your trip went well!

ups has been extremely backed up all over the country, and for many people things that are 24 hour air overnight end up taking 48 hours to arrive.

I sold corals and shipped next day, early am, and they took 2.5 days, and some items perished and others arrived extremely stressed and took weeks to recover. Some still haven’t recovered fully.

And then coming in, I had two ups shipments from two different vendors arriving two different days the same week. Both shipments took 48 hours or more. Typically not a huge problem but when weather is 20 or 30 degrees and a heat pack runs out, things get cold fast.

The coral I was looking forward to the most was this rare torch, and it came in heavily stressed and died in 2 days
