Hi I’m curious to know if anyone thinks this method of growing and cleaning zoas works as I have been trying it out for a few months and I have had success. I’m Not sure if it’s the method I’m using or this is the normal growth rate of most zoas.
Ok so once a week I add an additional power head to my tank and blast the zoas for a day. They are normally under medium flow and I aim a power head 50 gallon rated at them from about 3 feet. I notice a bunch of junk lifts from under them and the next day they look vibrant . I think this helps them stay healthy and clean and I was wondering if anyone else does the same or do you recommend any other method? Here are a few pics thx

lol I don’t I just let them be and sometimes they morph into a mixed color . I wouldn’t kill any zoa if it grows faster because I love them so much.
my nirvanas grew so fast and big they overpowered and choked out my gobstoppers till there were no gobstoppers left.

has anyone of you ever got the dreaded zoa pox? is there any treatment that can be done in tank, without having to prying them loose from the rock and dipping them in Furan 2, 3 days in a row?

Once or twice a month the moon affects the tides in such a way that the water level goes from abnormally high, to abnormally low, in a short period of time. Resulting in strong fast moving currents.

You're basically emulating that.
