Thanks friday night, I got em from a good source. And rng, those are the pink elephants... They used to be a lot brighter when I got them I need halides.

You certainly don't need halides for bright zoas. I run T5s over my main tank and my zoas are bright and the colors really pop. I run a MH over my frag tank (not by choice), and everything looks dull.

Stray32- what type of T5's are you running? What do you do to make them pop? It seems like every time i put zoas in my tank they loose color, should i place them higher in my tank? Got any pics?

i was running two aquablue plus and two actinic plus, ill switch out one of the aquablue with a pure actinic and see what happens.

I keep mine on the blue side, so I use 3x ATI Blue Plus and 3x Fiji Purple. The combination that I used to use, and really liked, was:

ATI Blue Plus
UVL Aquasun
ATI Blue Plus
GE 6500K
ATI Blue Plus
UVL Aquasun

loose color sometime need new bulbs

bulbs were just replaced, they are less than 3 months old.

I was running 2 aquablue+ and 2 actinic+ geissemanns but I switched out one of the actinic+ for a straight actinic. I instantly noticed a change. Hopefully my corals will brighten up in the long run.
