Mp40wqds absolutely work on 3/4 in glass. I have two of them on mine. Also, check out the Red Sea reef waves, very nice gyre type pumps.Got the lights hung today, waiting on another ghl to fill in that gap.
Also found out Mp40s will NOT work on 3/4 inch glass, so on the hunt for another pair of gyres.
They absolutely don’t, 4 brand new in box, the weight of the wet side would just fall off, and I’m not the first to have it happen too. Lol I’d rather not be at work for 2 weeks and my wife phone and tell me all 4 Mp40s are on the sand bed and she can’t reach them.Mp40wqds absolutely work on 3/4 in glass. I have two of them on mine. Sick build btw! Just found it, keep up the solid work.
Edited to say: if I was doing a 330gal display I’d have mp60s! Something to consider
That’s very odd, I wonder why mine are working without fail for 5 months now...They absolutely don’t, 4 brand new in box, the weight of the wet side would just fall off, and I’m not the first to have it happen too. I went 4 Mp40s on the over flow end, for varied flow, but didn’t work out. I have 2 gyre fx280 on the peninsula end. And just got 2 more of them today when I sold the Mp40s
Is your glass low iron/ starphire? If not, maybe that’s the difference maker... hmmThat’s very odd, I wonder why mine are working without fail for 5 months now...
I just put a tape to my glass to double check.. it’s every bit of 3/4”
Over flow end isnt star fire, but it was the same on the other end which is star fire. Some people have luck, some people don’t I guess. Didn’t work for me.Is your glass low iron/ starphire? If not, maybe that’s the difference maker... hmm
I got the naso from a neighbour shutting his tank down actually! I got him not to long ago, along with all the other fish, put them all threw quarantine, and into the big tank after 21 days!Wow so many updates. Not sure why I haven’t gotten notices since Nov. that Naso looks like the one they had at Ocean Creation. Haven’t been there for over two years now. But I am glad yours didn’t perish in the last crash.
Your build looks great. I’m glad it worked out in the end and you did not sell it. And that you actually got it into the basement. How many people did you employ and how did you manage that?
I also vote for a dedicated sump room.
