Do you still have this tank going? I would love to see updated pictures.
Joe

I do still have it and everything has been growing.
Right now I'm in the process of removing alot of mushrooms and some of the rock.
I'm opening it up a little.
Making a little more swimming room for the fish. I have a Sohal Tang now and it needs the room.

Great looking tank. Its nice to see some people still keeping it old school with softie tanks. With all the crazy fads these days you dont see too many tanks like yours.
Keep it up. Looks great

Thanks.

One nice thing about softy tanks is they practically take care of them selves.

Beautiful! I'm considering heading that direction with my tank one day. I just can't kick the sps bug right now.

I haven't done any updates on this thread in a long time.

I got these in today.
I ordered some 1" square aluminum tubing and connectors from a company called eztube to build the rack to hold the Radions.
That should be here tomorrow.
Can't wait to see how it turns out.

I spent several hours yesterday making my light hanger rack.
I'm pretty happy the way it turned out. Very clean looking.
Very sturdy, and was actually pretty easy to put together.

Bought myself a new piece of equipment yesterday.
A local company called Oceans By Design makes there own line of skimmers.
What interested me the most about these skimmers, they are powered by a Alita AL-40 air pump and use 2 x 6" Boss Hog air stones.
My very first skimmer that I used back in 1990 was a home made air stone skimmer.
So when I saw these skimmers, I knew I had to give it a try.
I'm so tired of pin wheel/ mesh mod pumps.
Just got it home and will be installing it in my sump later today.

The skimmer has a 10" dia body, 26" tall and has a 6" neck.
The pump operates at 32db's and puts out 85 scfh. ( 40 lpm)
It uses a maxi-jet for a feed pump.
