So I wondering, I have a Reef Octo SS150 on my 150. If anyone is familiar with these there really is no neck but just a straight body then the cup which is larger height wise then most cups, a pretty big cup. I clean this every two days but only clean the body once month as the entire skimmer needs to come out for that. Am I safe doing this or could it be causing me problems?

Just ordered a Red Sea skimmer with the built in neck wipe. Interested to see how well that works.
I got the Red Sea skimmer and tried it with the neck cleaner for awhile. I tried it without it and think the foam will form much better without it in there.

shark pool? pics please
I only clean my skimmer once a month by submerging it in a bucket of distilled white vinegar and letting it run for awhile then I wipe out the cup and neck withh a magic eraser then run it in a solution of baking soda and water then straight water RODI goes without saying! It’s probably overkill but I’m not tripping on it I clean all my pumps the same way
