Raised my lights & decreased blues max intensity from 65% to 50%. Will also begin dosing H2O2 today @ 1mil per 10g for 8 days.

OMG!! I made a big mistake!! Just dosed 10mil per 10g totaling 43mil. Stylo & BN not real happy. Did I just kill my corals?!!

Could do a small WC,...but I think its posted that the H2O2 method is very forgiving as far as od,...I think it says you could go as much as 10x with no ill effects

Thank you for being here @007Bond! I've never had to use any chemical/medicine on any tank before. It's kinda scary.

Yeah,...small water change will help dilute if your corals are showing stress.

Nana I've had the same problem and posted earlier in the thread. I'm did not use FP but did use CaribSea special grade. I also have LED lights (AI Vega). I also dose BRS two part and feed Larry's. My PO4 is usually between 0.02 and 0.04. Silicate is undetectable in the DT and my RO/DI water. My tank is almost 3 years old and everything is doing ok except my sand bed.

Watching closely to see what the H2O2 does for this. I'm also going to thaw some LRS in some water and test the water for silicates. Will let you know what I find.

I share your frustration. I would hate to have to remove my sandbed but if I have to I will.

Did a small WC a bit to hurriedly. Lost focus and spilled water all over surge protector. Tried unplugging the pump with fill tubing in my hand. Stupidest thing I've ever done. Omg was that dumb!! I'm laughing now but sure as heck wasn't when it happened.

What light to you use again? I have recently swapped my light out and installed a Kessil A160WE with a spectral controller and the brown tinting hasn't returned as fast as it usually does. Although the I'm expecting it to start building up by tomorrow

Oh an my corals are not happy at all. Zoas seem especially affected. All are closed. Thought a 5g WC would have helped my over dosing of the h2o2.
It has been less then 24hrs since WC. Lights have been on for just 5hrs. Lower intensity of Blues by 15% plus raised 3"

Started h2o2 yesterday. Made a big error in amount. Instead of the 1mil per 10g, I did 10mil per 10g. Dosed a total of 43mil. Did an emergency 5g WC.

Wow, well thankfully h2o2 is forgiving and will even degrade in your water column. Any changes in the SB or is it just as bad as normal?

Subscribed. Anxious to see if H2O2 helps. I considered it previously for some algae issues but got that under control easily with GFO and control of my PO4.

I don't think it's your blue lights causing the problem, rather the white lights. Did you lower intensity and/or duration of your white lights? Could you try a day or two without white leds?

Watching thread .. I have a small Dino outbreak on my sand and a few patches on bryopsis on my rocks. I'm currently doing a 3 day blackout and also started dosing hydrogen peroxide 1ml/10 gallons. Hope it goes well
