I’ve had this pair of clownfish for a long time now. Haven’t seen this behavior, really hoping they are trying to mate or something… anyone have an idea what these two are up to? Thanks
My dad and I keep lots of clownfish. If your male is swimming around your female and they are near the glass, the male is likely trying to push the eggs out of the female, so yes its likely they are mating. (My guess anyway)
They usually come to the glass when hungry but they have not stopped being after eachother lately… the orange one(bigger of the 2) looks to be a female?? Anyone think she looks pregnant??? She looks fat too me!!
I usually turn on all the lights occasionally when I do water changes etc but they look healthy! I’ve had them for 2 years now they’ve been together for 5!!!
But they never have showed these signs of attention!
Females are pretty much always going to be bigger than the male. If she is bigger than usual I think you have a pretty good chance of eggs. (She does look big) It just takes time. Our clownfish didn't ay eggs for the first couple years we had them then all of a sudden they were there.
