I would like to switch from three part because its getting expensive. I would like to try kalkwasser to reduce operating cost. That being said I have a reefdose4 and the doser max out at 24 doses per day.

My tank is 75gallon net water volume. Kalkwasser will be dosed in the return chamber with a wavemaker to prevent calcification.

I’ve calculated my kalkwasser (max saturation) based on my current three part dosing and ends up with 2ml/min (2880ml total). Because my doser could only dose 24 times per day:
-Is it okay to dose 60ml at once every 30mins? (12 hours during lights out)
-What about 120ml at once every hour? (24 hours evenly)

My back up plan is to utilize all four dosing heads so I have 96 dosages at 30ml per.

I have no experience with reefdose. When you say "60 ml" all at once, how much time span is "all at once"?
What's the dose input rate?
Does it just blast it all as quickly as possible (like you just poured a cup in manually)? Or is it spread out over a number of minutes or an hour?

I use a dose rate that looks like individual drops going in (about 1 drop per second, maybe a total of 2 or 3 ml per minute at most) because that's what I've heard is best but honestly I haven't tried any faster input rates.

I don’t foresee a problem either way as long as you’re within your evaporation limits. 2800mls on a 75gal sounds like you could be just fine, but every tank is differen.

Yes you'll be fine, I dose KALK once every hour at 100-150ml over a 2-3 minute period.

Reefdose has a “whisper” mode and the 60ml dispensed right under 3 minutes.

Alright thank you. My evaporation is about 1 gallon (3785ml) right now. I might have to supplement with 2 part in the summer since evaporation is usually half of winter time.
