My xenia keeps getting eaten up and I’m not a huge fan of GSP. Are there any extremely fast growing softies that carpet over the rocks?

Thanks

Leather corals seem to have a good growth rate and they are fairly forgiving of parameters. For LPS I would say frogspawn or any branching euphyllia. For SPS, stylophora is also fairly forgiving (as far as SPS goes).

Grows very fast and IMO looks amazing when it moves with the flow, it’s like the waters been given a semi solid form. I really liked this coral.

Downside is that it can very quickly spread to other parts of the tank and completely take over. I ended up removing mine (isolated on a rock) after the third or fourth time I caught it sending out polyps that attached to the main rockwork (and were immediately removed).

That’s great to know, thank you. I’m actually looking for complete tank take-over. I moved all my corals to another tank and right now only have a toadstool and a sinularia

+1 on this

I have three polyps without stems fall onto my rocks. Within four weeks I had an entire colony 3” wide before it stalled out a little bit. Didn’t even think soft coral could grow that fast.
