I love plant covered rock with hikers. Kp looks nice :)
It was great. Got plenty of good guys too. Just be sure you can qt for some time if you get uncured. It has been over 6 months and I found a crab the size of a pencil eraser. That means he came in almost microscopic! I will continue my search and may pull fish to treat any illness if this continues.

With that size chuck I would say moray eel or maybe a very hungry pistol or mantis shrimp. From all that you have said so far I'm baffled.
If all else fails IMO start pulling rock??????????????

I did begin pulling rock the other night. I got a 2 in mantis in the chunk I pulled plus a large bristle worm. I am going to keep at it! Though if more fish go missing I think I will pull the fish to qt to be safe. I'll try to get a pic of the mantis this evening. He is in a 20 gal now.

That's not from a mantis. I don't have a suggestion, but it's not that. Following.....
Could a crab(s) be responsible? I am at a loss because whatever did this had about 1 hour at most. The fish went to sleep in the sand the night before and would have only been out swimming that long before discovery.

I would love a bobbit. Or any cool hiker. Just as cool as coral or fish

are you serious?! youd love a bobbit!? until it started killing your inhabitants and corals. you might wanna think about that a bit more. sure they are cool, but not in a mixed reef tank. I spend way too much on my fish/corals to lose them to a random, ugly worm

The one they pulled from my LFS was only a foot long and it did a lot of damage... Would hate to see what the meter long plus ones would do... I'll pass, but I'll admit it was a stunning looking creature.
