If you don't have the proper tools to cut it can be tricky for first time.....you need table saw, blade for acrylic, router for edges.....scrap pieces to practice.......if you don't mind paying extra you can have them cut.....those dimensions shouldn't be too expensive.....

I would go 4" more in width and 24 inches high that should equal approx 45 gallons

I would see how big the sheets you want are and the cost.
Calculate a couple different heights, see if a certain height drastically increases or decreases costs. Like, 6in vs. 8in vs. 10in. More height will increase your water volume, probably make water more stable, unless you are plumbing to a display. Then it is just personal preference.

Do you have lights picked? That may influence your footprint as well

Use only cell cast acrylic, and Weldon 4 for adjoining the panels. Also have some Weldon 16 handy for any imperfections. Success is highly dependent of edge prep! Check out you tube plenty of great DIY videos. Look up "the King of DIY" he has a great series on acrylic tank construction. Good luck!
Do I use the weldon 4 or the weldon 16 to put the pannels together?

Use the 4 as the main cement, the 16 is thicker and used to fix gaps or imperfections in the seams.....

So I would use the 4 to glue them together. Then use the 16 all the way around the seams to seal it all up?
