i went bare bottom about 2 months ago.i had a thick sandbed around 3''.i am so happy with it no more corals falling and dying in the sand or fish kicking up a sand storm.i did have to get rid of some of the fish that require sand but well worth it to me.
there i still alittle sand that comes from under the rocks and what not but a couple more water changes from now it will all be gone.by the way wwc bb tank is the tank that made me want to go bb i saw there vidoe on YT and just though that i was the way to go.

once you see the waste that goes in the sand you'll never want it again. BB all the way !!

Great article. Lou is a great person. WWC is an awesome place. Well worth the time to take a visit.
Hmmm maybe I'll give BB a try on my new 40b build
