Help... Cyano, Dino or ?

I will echo @ajm83 in saying that it looks very similar to the Dinos I've had as all.

However, I also believe no one will be able to give you an accurate identification just by looking at pictures. Without a microscope or some treatment trial and errors its nearly impossible to know between Diatoms, Cyano or Dino. Even within different types of dinos not all treatments will be equally efficient.

In my case, the dinos seemed to thrive not due to my Nitrates bottoming out. I did some manual removal every 2-3 days with a siphon and fed heavier while keeping my phosphate in check.

A small GHA outbreak ensued as my nitrates rose but it was nothing to deal with compared to the Dinos.
