So I've had to qt and medicate my fish due to ich. So since the butterfly contracted ich, in addition to ich spots, it has dark discoloration appearing to be below the skin. Any ideas? I know the pics are grainy and cropped, but you can make out the darker areas on the white.
Params are good salinity is low due to hyposalinity 1.021

Sorry - I'm struggling to see what you are describing. I know fish are tough to photograph, but this is just too grainy and dark I'm afraid. Sometimes, a short video is clearer.

Certainly secondary infections are pretty common during and following ich infections.

What are you doing to treat the ich? A specific gravity of 1.021 isn't nearly low enough to treat ich, you need to be down to 1.009 to 1.010 at the highest.

Also treating copper and sachem paragard. I am slowly getting it down. I am hoping this picture is better. 1.018 today. All spots have fallen off. Will copper kill the life cycle once they fall off? Unsure how to load videos. Thanks for all your assistance

You shouldn’t mix paraguard , copper and hypo all at the same time. Paraguard almost never works for marine ich, so you should discontinue that. Then, you should decide if you want to go full copper of full hypo - but not both together. Both can work, so it s up to you which way you want to go. I prefer copper because it also treats velvet.
