I’ve got a generator I can power everything off of.

Do you just use tap water, if not how do you heat or freeze the water? I’ve mostly heard of people using hot or cold water in bottles and floating them in the tank.

I guess I didn’t consider you could use a camp stove, grill, or may have a gas stove. I still don’t see how to freeze the water without electricity.

Generator. Two nights ago I dosed prazi. Had the skimmer running and an extra air stone going for aeration. 15 hours later, power outage for almost 5 hours. Generator saved the day. I've got a couple of power inverters I can connect to the car also.

This, all the planning is for naught if we're not home.

I run a bubbler that automatically kicks on when 120vac is lost. I have a diy 7ah 24v battery setup (I have to bring online manually). Next step is extension cord to 2kw truck inverter. Last step is drag out the 4kw generator. If I'm dragging out the 4kw genny then im about hosed anyway with the aquarium, its about human preservation at that point.
