Unless they are a bonded pr, firefish are best kept singly.

Canthigaster puffers can nip clam mantles.

Flame scallops need to be fed filter feeder foods, and often position themselves deep in the rocks.

Personally I feel a purple tang will be fine in a 90g, but kole and tomini tangs are smaller.

If you don't have any other pod hunting fish, after six months your tank should be able to produce enough pods on it's own to support a mandarin without having to supplement them, especially if you have chaeto somewhere.

If you are interested in wrasses, look into fairy or flasher weasses. They don't hunt pods.

Agree with other posts on diamond goby. I know people that have diamond gobies and regret them. They sift like maniacs onto their corals and one says his will almost have seizure episodes in the water - hitting itself on LR or coral when startled.
I love gobies also but if you get one you might check out other options.

I would stay away from the chromis as they don't school well and are heavy on bioload. As for tangs I would go for a Tomini Tang or Yellow Eye Kole Tang. Not sure about mixing these guys but they stay small enough for your tank.

Didn't read your most recent post. Your new stocking looks good. Just picked up a red head salon fairy and it's amazing. Highly recommended. Social and beautifuk

Agree with both ptd and Mike-J; Mandarins need an aged tank, puffer and tangs need more space. Overall a very large bio-load which will likely stress both you and your livestock.

Could could also go with a flame angel and/or coral beauty instead of the tangs for that size tank. I used to have a 90 gallon and kept both successfully.

The pom pom crab will be a quick meal for the puffer and possibly the blackcap basslet.

The angs may nip at zoas and the clam.

It there any other option for Clam/Scallop/Oyster. that looks cool but wont have issues with all the fish?
my Girlfriend loves shells. That's why I have them, and they are cool looking.

My six line wrasse was a real pita! I would go with the fairy wrasse. Another small basslet is a chalk bass. I had both a coral beauty and a flame angel that didn't touch my zoas or corals. However, I have read that it's a possibility.
