Coral Growth Series: Slimer Acro!

Got this as a freebie and didn't believe it would grow in my tank, but lo and behold, it actually seems fairly happy! I think one of the major advantages of this broken off piece of acro was that it was a branch that was bleached on one side (not receiving light) and had 3 smaller branches coming off of the main branch. So, by laying it sideways, bleach-side down, right between two barnacles, it's got 3 branches growing upwards like a mini colony. And looks like new branches are sprouting. Just got to keep the clove polyps away from it...

Wow! The German blue is going crazy! I originally got that as a one inch, one branch freebie with the purchase of I believe the pink birdsnest (which is also looking good BTW) It took a long time to do anything. Now you have your own colony! Also I love the fact that it is not a popular coral around here.

Loving this green sinularia in the 10g!

At first was like, "meh, I'll add it." Now it's growing on me.

Also. The black widow nem split decided to take a walk. I turned around just in time. It was about a half inch away from the pectinia. I could tell the pectinia knew it was nearby. Managed to pull it off the rock:

Bit late in the day to sell it, so it's going in the 10g for now.

Nice and flowy in the middle:
