Hi. I finally got algae and dinos gone or at least not visible. Still have a few random bubble algae bubbles but my issue is that I am trying to keep nutrients at a readable level and PO4 seems to go back to zero if I don’t dose and NO3 has stayed somewhat stable at 2ppm only after I turned off my skimmer. I only have a small piece of chaeto in the sump. Worried about zeroing out on nutrients. Don’t want to remove the chaeto since I turned off the skimmer. Any suggestions?

Well, You turned off the skimmer to not reduce nutrients. The chato is there to reduce nutrients.

IMO , feed a bit more, shell fish like brine would be best. Track those numbers a while.

Scrub out algae in the DT and beef up the cuc for those. Snails primarily. They eat and then poop =no3 and Po4, so it stays in the tank.
