Hello. I'm trying to add a reef safe splash of red to my tank.

Currently I have a flame hawk, firefish and a flame angel, but I'm looking for another fish to add more red. I love the color my flame hawk but he isn't always out in the open. I'd love something that is along the same lines in terms of color but is more active in the water column to help liven up the joint.

I've been looking at blue throat fairy wrasses (Cirrhilabrus cyanogularis).

I was wondering what suggestions you may have.

Thanks in advance.

Fire fish, but it is very timid, so especially with those fish don't expect to see it often.
I forgot to mention I had one of those and I edited my post after seeing your suggestion. It's a good suggestion and I do love that fish, but like you said he is a bit timid so I don't always get to see him.

Don’t go for just a cyanogularis, look at the flashers and get several wrasses! They don’t even have to be red, there’s brown, grey, black, blue, red, yellows etc.

Get two more Flame angels. You will get a harem of Flame and you get to see interesting and natural behaviors. The longer I am keeping aquariums, the more interest in fish behaviors. This is the nuptial display coloration of my male Flame angel (full display), regular coloration of the male (partially, early display), and picture of one of the female. The advantage of having a harem of Flame is these fish are very active and out swimming all the time, darting in and out of the rocks.

That Haddoni looks awesome. I was thinking of adding a rock flower anemone. A true red seems like a difficult color for reefs.

I saw you have a blue throat, what is the other one?
I edited the post and added name to the wrasses
