Hmm. The place I got one of mine said that it's slime coat was killing their fish, and I laughed it off, but recently I thought it would almost explain things

Some species have toxic flesh, but not a poisonous slime coat. Clown gobies, dragonets, boxfish, soapfish and puffers all have more noxious slime coats.

Neat, I have read about soapfish but never seen any, are they aggressive? I picture them as similar to groupers

Similar to groupers, a bit more peaceful. There is small species from the Red Sea which is great for most tanks.

I had my eyes on the "arrowhead soapfish", but who knows if I'll ever see one

Yeah, looks like hasselti. They are shy at first, but actually get pretty bold. It is a peaceful, Hardy species.

Hardy, semi aggressive to aggressive wrasses. Will flip over corals and small rocks, will eat inverts and small fish. Likes more sand area rather than a bunch of live rock. Very color variable.
