I don't doubt you. I am just noting that there are a lot of Radion users out there. How that correlates to users experiencing the issue, or similar issues you described, I know not. In short how common is it really?

Now that isn't helping you any of course so I'll just button it up. Hopefully you find a solution while keeping the product or going outside and recouping some of the cost.

I did forget to ask - have you reached out to their support and what was their advice or recommendation? Did they acknowledge it or offer any suggestions on how to address?

Hope your day outside of this is going well.
I have reached out. So have many others. All they tell you is to reset the lights to then a couple weeks later the issue happens again. There’s something not working correctly with mobius but I don’t think they are trying to fix it. I think the fix is buying an apex and the wxm module si they are control by wifi and the apex instead of mobius.

You will still have issues if you are in the apex constantly changing stuff. Since I have set my stuff up on the MXM module, I have only gone in the settings to adjust the lights a handful of times. But the APEX will drive you nuts in other ways. And the same people who own the Mobius app owns APEX.

This is why I am lazy. Because APEX does everything for me

I don't think the date/time issue is that uncommon. What I find comical is several of my real-life reefing pals were complaining about it and it had never happened to me. Shortly after one of those conversations, one of them said it was fixed. About 1 week later it happened to me. It continues to occur for me at random every few months, yet my one friend has not experienced it since.

The last time it happened to me was after the DST switch. It happened TWICE in one day about 6 hours apart. Jan 1, 2060 if I remember, was the date it picked.

There is clearly a bug in the code - whether it's firmware on the actual hardware device causing Mobius to have a fit or the Mobius source is challenged, something needs to be fixed and it's 100% a software problem. In my case, it affects both my blades and my radions - which would be expected.

Funny enough, Just last week one of my other friends started to complain about it again.
Yeah it has happened to me twice this month.

I'm definitely not saying it can't happen but you can't call someone out for it not happening to them.

This first started for me when I bought Hydra 32 and did an update. Prior to that I had a HD16 and Nero3 on one tank and it worked fine.
The fix was to configure 2 tanks. One for pumps and one for Hydra. That fixed the issue.

I now run Hydra32 and Wave45 so the issue went away.
Weird, I’ll try that. I do have Vectras, nero and mp40 pumps

Do you have just radions or do you have also pumps controlled by mobius
I'd be curious if it's a conflict between some devices and firmware and the software.

I only control 6 hydra 32hds. I have used Mobius with them with the current firmware that was recently released and the previous firmware version. I don't think I had them with an older version than that and Mobius.

Spot on and has been since I added the Radions like a month ago. Had all AI Blades before that since February.

I have 6 Radions, 4 Versas, 2 MP60s and 1 AI Blade Glow. All on the same tank and zero issues

Try the Neptune Sky. I have nothing but great things to say about all aspects of it. I also don’t like shimmer, it gives off a flat T5 look. If you want shimmer than it isn’t for you. The fixture is really solid, programming is super easy and it has a great light spread.

Worst thing about the app is that it can't keep the time and date correct. I noticed my pH was not following my normal trend and my salinity was dropping. Couldn't figure it out until I noticed my Versa was dosing kalkwasser in the middle of the day when it's only programmed to be on at night. Checked the time and date in the app and the time was wildly off and the date was 1970! How is that even possible?
