After a long awaited 2 years I’m getting back in the game in a big way. After moving again to what I hope to be my final move, my wife has given me the go ahead to buy a tank. She text me and said she thought a spot in our living room would be a good spot for a tank! Well... I ran with it haha. This process will take a few months I think to fully come through but I figured I’d start a thread.

Tank- Waterbox 130.4 ( 127 gallons total with sump 48 x 24 x 22)

Lighting- 2/ Radion XR30w G4 Pro

Controller- ApexEL Advanced Bundle

Pumps- 2/ EcoTech MP40s

Return- Vectra M2

Skimmer- Bubble magus Curve 5

Aquascape-
40lbs of Caribsea liferock baserock
40lbs of Caribsea liferock shelfrock
20lbs of Caribsea liferock shapes

Supposedly it will take 6-8 weeks for the tank to ship due to back orders but most of the other stuff has come in.

I'm jealous. That's a near perfect tank size imo. Nice 4 ft length. Not too small so you can stock most species, but not overly massive either where you have to reinforce flooring etc...

Thanks! I absolutely love the size and I 100% agree that it is not to big and not to small. I want an awesome aquascape but I’m having a hard time deciding on exactly what I want. Also what is everyone doing nowadays for the bottom of the tank? Thin layer of sand, thick layer or a bare bottom? I was thinking a thin layer maybe 1/2 inch to 1 inch and then putting a marine pure block in the sump?

So I called Waterbox because I have not received my M2 or MP40s. It said that they ship straight from the manufacturer in 3-5 days. Well I wanted to know how they get tracked so I could keep an eye on them. WELLLLL I was informed that Waterbox doesn’t send the order to the manufacturer until 5-7 days AFTER I get the tank!!! The tank won’t be here for another 7 weeks (approximately). So I will have the tank for over a week with no return pump or circulation pumps! Do other companies do this? What the heck! Super frustrating! Rant over.

Yes, I talked with waterbox numerous times about things and they are EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. I let them know that I wanted my pumps before my tank gets here and they did not give me any issues. They said that they normally don’t send the pumps before the tank because people change their mind while they are waiting for the tank to arrive and it causes issues (I totally understand now that they explained it to me). They sent me the pumps but I was missing one of the MP40s so I called back and they apologized and had the other pump out ASAP. They said for my patience with all this they were going to send me a tshirt aswell! I have since received everything and my tank has been shipped and should be here Monday depending on weather. I have to say this, I have felt with a lot of people in my life and a lot of businesses. @Waterbox Aquariums has by far exceeded my expectations with their customer service. I talked to Emily I don’t know how many times and each time she was friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them.

Like that big chunky shelf slab piece for my future layout. Is that CaribeSea or Real Life Reef Rock? Also like your float valve shut off for sump area water level

Nice simple layout. Keep that one. Simple is better than pile of rocks with no upward growth space if going sps.

Sorry. Just re-read your past post that says CaribeSea. What was the price on 40lb shelf rock?

Thanks! Yea I wanted space for growth and the large piece is way more intricate then it looks but I’m very happy with the way it came out. This was my first time doing anything like that. Normally I just stack the rocks in piles haha

I am thinking one huge 16 inch or more "flat" shelf piece to use as base for sps and a seperate tall pillar with stag or mille and sea fans.
