Get the biggest ones you can find and they might be alright for awhile. But as the hawk grows in size he will eventually eat them. It's just what hawkfish do.
No shrimp . . . got it. Snails and hermit crabs it is!

I have 2 - and we love them! Got them from a private breeder - they are growing SO FAST! (Marlin and Nemo of course . . . . )I'm looking at anthias as well. I would like 3+. I have a wonderful, fat, healthy not-for-use-with-coral flame angel. LOL I also would like an ocellaris clown as well.
Yes, they are compatible with caution. There are many success stories about housing hawkfish of different species.Sorry if this was said already but can you have move than one as long as they're not the same genus?
Or does that not even matter and multiples of the same Fish.
Just asking if anyone knows I don't feel like searching right now and someone knows I'm sure.
It would be cool to have a flame a falco and a long nose in the same tank
My cleaners didn't And, it WAS a flame hawkfish that got them..That video was hard ! I "think"the cleaner shrimps get a free pass .
Mine got a large blood shrimp that I thought was too big to be bothered by a flame hawk. It's very cool fish though! My cleaners didn't And, it WAS a flame hawkfish that got them..
I was wondering the same thing!!Sorry if this was said already but can you have move than one as long as they're not the same genus?

I'm not sure I understand your question.I was wondering the same thing!!
I have a 120 - think I could do all 3? Any fish they are NOT compatible with? Currently have a sailfin, foxface, 2 clowns. Adding 2 wrasses. Trying to plan my stock.
@AllSignsPointToFish - you seem to know.
Asking if i can put the flame, long nose and falco in my tank together. And if there are any fish that I would NOT be able to have in the tank because of having the three hawks.I'm not sure I understand your question.
Thank you!! Great resource! Printing it now. I appreciate it much! Hope you don't mind, but I will pass along to someone asking about fish to go with clowns if you haven't seen that post alreadyGotcha. As far as I know, you could probably put all three in a 120 gallon tank. It's probably easier to host three different species than three of the same species. Here is a compatibility chart :

Looks like you only need to worry about eels and groupers (if I read the chart correctly on my cell phone), but you weren't planning on those anyway.
