What kind of coral are you planning on keeping, this will determine what lighting you need? I will post par this weekend for you. I'm not planning on anything else in the sump, I do have room for a NYOS reactor in the area where the socks used to be but I usually don't run one. I've never had or needed a refugium so can't help you there, I do use a 3d printed basket for bio media spheres I keep in the sump.

I plan on keeping mostly LPS, but I do want the top to have SPS. With it being a pool tank, I'm assuming shadowing shouldn't be a huge issue if I scape correctly and put SPS in the back? Tank is 35" I think so I feel like 2 XR15 at 60% would probably be fine... Could do an XR30 right next to an XR15 but worried it might look funky?

I agree if you do your scape correctly 2 XR15's would be fine. I have an XR15 Blue running on a 15x15 cube so Ill get you some par readings Sunday from it to give you an idea.

Here’s a quick reading. This is without the T5s and the lights are 80% with the exception of white being at 40%

Looks great. I'll send my pics soon. I had to buy tons of copepods and phyto because the gentleman gave me a mandarin with the livestock. Not cheap

Hi, loving your tank. I am also considering buying the Nyos for my upgrade. Any challenges that you experienced or wish you knew after setting up?
Thank you for the kind words. I have no real complaints except I wish the sump was bigger but always wish that on every build lol. The only thing I can think off hand is if you do modify the plumbing it is all metric so keep that in mind. However adaptive reef makes a ton of fittings now so wasn’t an issue except you need to wait on mail order vs going to Lowe’s.

Thanks for the advice.

I ended up getting a used WB 85.3 frag tank (55gal display with a 30gal sump). It was enough to put a reef mat, media reactor and skimmer as well as house some macro. Downside is that it's got no space for electronics inside the cabinet stand. Cant win them all..

How is the tank doing? Any updates ,
Doing well, I'll get some updated shots this weekend. Added a UV plus some stand lighting that came out awesome. No I need to start adding some more fish and coral. :) I've moved really really slow on this build, not that that's a bad thing.

Interested in that UV installation, I got the same tank recently and haven't figured it out how to put it on

I have a Pentair 25W, thing is huge. Right now, I have it soft plumbed in but going to hard plumb it in when I have time. I'll make sure I'll get you a picture. Have a build thread yet?

No Build Thread yet, still working on getting this tuned, ( I migrated from my 25 gal to this one recently)

That is why I'm interested in how others take advantage of these displays, those are great, (just limited on plumbing on possible upgrades such an uv)
