I called glass-cages in the recent past, left a voicemail and got a call back from Joe(owner)I once reached out to glass ages and didn't even get a reply. So I think there are pros and cons to each vendor.
Yep - things are a lot different in the ~5 years since the ownership change. I don't have a GC tank, but know several people that do and have worked with them on a possible upgrade for myself. The responsiveness was top notch.I called glass-cages in the recent past, left a voicemail and got a call back from Joe(owner)

Yep - same business name, wholly different experience, quality and approach to customer service.Ah... well, my experience must have been before new ownership.
The 250 just seems to be the perfect tank for what I’m looking for though. What is the likelihood of getting one and it failingother suggestions are eshopps mariner or reef-savvy or crystal dynamics
SC Aquariums makes a rimless 24x20x20 45 gallon and a 24x24x20 50 gallon. About 5-600 bucks.Hey guys are there any tanks that would be similar to the Red Sea 170 or the Red Sea 200 G2.
I’m thinking I might be able to get away with this size in my apartment but I’m spooked about the Red Sea brand now.
Their tanks are so beautiful I want something similar ya know
Why not waterbox or innovative marine or prostar, all these have proper metal reinforced stands. Or go with glasscages and ask for full armored seams with bottom bracing. Eheim also comes to mind (I asked Eheim rep and tank is still made in Germany)Hey guys are there any tanks that would be similar to the Red Sea 170 or the Red Sea 200 G2.

Innovative Marine is priced well and good quality/features. But for a 170 or 200, even the Gen 1 Red Sea you should be fine with since it’s not much water volume/weight/force. If you like the RedSea look then get the Red Sea G2. Simple.Hey guys are there any tanks that would be similar to the Red Sea 170 or the Red Sea 200 G2.

I didn’t seen any innovative marine tanks that were 40 and had sumps. I saw some AIO. I maybe be unaware of some of their models. For me just a bit too big. Looking at no more than low 40’s for a display tank. Mid 30’s would be great with a sump. Idealy I’d love like a 75 but current residence just not going to try and hide that lolSC Aquariums makes a rimless 24x20x20 45 gallon and a 24x24x20 50 gallon. About 5-600 bucks.
Glass cages has listed a 24x24x18 rimless 45 gallon and a 2ft cube 60 gallon.
Thank you I’ll look into a few of those. Why not waterbox or innovative marine or prostar, all these have proper metal reinforced stands. Or go with glasscages and ask for full armored seams with bottom bracing. Eheim also comes to mind (I asked Eheim rep and tank is still made in Germany)

Almost the exact same dimensions as the Red Sea 170 and 200?For me just a bit too big.
Huh I guess I didn’t realize that. Isn’t a 170 like 34 gallons of display? 45 just seems like it would be wayyy noticeable bigger. I can understand the 200 being almost the same tho.Almost the exact same dimensions as the Red Sea 170 and 200?
