Do you have any salt water mixed?

Maybe nothing at this hour though. Just let the tank go to bed.

No...should I mix some now for tomorrow?
Yea probably. The fish Dr's should check in here in a bit. But its best to be ready. If you have to set op a qt youll take tank water and LR and put the fish in it w a powerhead. If you have a small tank and hob filter you can put sponge floss bag of carbon anything not rock covered in bacteria to act as the bio filter.

You wont be able to use rock if your going to have to medicate, depending on the med.

You'll want to really start considering QT for new arrivals. Disease and Stress is a huge thing in fish. Qt really is best practice.
Moving rocks in a tank is pretty stressful for some fish, so a bag to a tank will make them very weak and the disease and stress they carry from transport stores etc needs to be eliminated.

Dont fret. The Doc's will be in shortly.

In tank. not likely. In the morning you'll need to get pics.
In a bucket, itll depend on the treatment recommended.

Got anything like floss sponge bacteria covered thing?

It sounds like Banana has either ich or velvet; however I would like to see photos before confirming that diagnosis.

Are the white spots still there?

Lol!

No more spots? Perhaps it was sand? It happens!
Maybe but it didn't look like sand. I'm going to check tonight when the lights go on blue and see if I can get a pic. Banana is real timid and shy...is this normal of yellow tangs?

I saw a white spot on one of my fish. When I turned my head to look at it, it got spooked, quickly swam behind a rock, and when it slowly came around, the spot was gone. Sand sticks to their slime coat sometimes. Especially since my clown likes to claim his territory everyday and create a sand storm in his spot!

Ever see any white stringy poop come out of her?

Also, YTs will often show a horizontal white line like you see in the pic below:

Gyellowtang.jpg
No I haven't noticed...what does that mean? The white poop and the white horizontal linr?
