Adding my two cents
Type of meter you are using for measurements: Seneye Reef
Type of lighting.. be specific as possible and include things like manufacturer, age, length and type of bulbs for those t5 users, wattage and reflectors for the MH users.: Aquatic Life 48" DX18 - controlled by Apex for light regimen - 100% Inner / 100% Outer at the time of the photo and PAR readings - 4 54W ATI bulbs - Blue Plus / Actinic paired as "Inner" and Coral Plus / Purple Plus paired as "Outer" - all four bulbs approaching two months installed.
LED users if possible include percentages used for different colors: Current USA LED (not sure which model) with RGB LEDs at 100% and White at 90%. This is about two and a half years old.
Height of lighting over your water: 12"
Depth of water: 21"
Pumps or power heads running?: Running
Any other factors that may contribute to readings such as room lighting, windows, tank in sunroom? etc.: Ambient light coming from the "wall of window" but the sun was on the opposite side of the house and there was not a significant amount of direct light into the room. I am working on a custom canopy (I work slow ) and there are currently no sides and some light leaks into the room.
A picture with measurements would be ideal but a list/description would be fine as well. See picture
Provide as many collection points as possible such as bottom of tank left, right and center.. middle of tank left, right, center, front and back etc. See mark up of the readings
I recently purchased my T5/LED hybrid fixture to accommodate my perceived need for improved lighting. I was pleasantly surprised to see the results. I may actually have to tone down my lighting a little bit as I plan on running a softy/LPS mixed tank and a lot of my research is low to moderate lighting. Based on what I am seeing I have mostly high lighting PAR in the tank. Although I have to admit my Rhodactis on the right is fully loving that spot with 213 PAR.
